Network Information

Zighost (www.zighost.info) is a new alternative in hosting. Utilizing a state-of-the-art Data Center facility, our customers can receive all the benefits of more expensive hosting services with an extremely competitive pricing plan. The greatest factor in our success is the quality of our network, and this rests on two foundations - structural diversity and technological excellence.

Network and Data Center: Our network is fully switched, with multiple redundant routers, and multiple connections to different ISPs, allowing us to provide absolute availability of the network with no down time.

The network is designed around a high-speed switched architecture. Each server is plugged into a 100mbit, fully-switched port on an edge switch. Each edge switch is then in turn plugged into two separate aggregation switches at 1gbit, with failover redundancy allowing either 1gbit link to fail.

The aggregation switches have multiple 2gbit uplinks to our core switches, which are Extreme Networks BlackDiamond carrier-class switches. These core switches interconnect to each other at 4gbits.

Our network design is fully redundant and high performance, with low latency and high throughput. Once traffic has reached our core switches it is routed by our multiple, redundant routers on to the internet over a number of different connections.

Connectivity: Zighost will offer fast, reliable connectivity to the internet. Our network is fully switched, with multiple redundant routers, and multiple connections to different ISPs, allowing us to provide absolute availability of the network with no down time.

We offer a 99.9% network uptime guarantee, excluding any scheduled maintenance.

Server Information

Our server equipment is from brand names such as IBM, Intel, 3COM, etc. All accounts are being hosted on the latest dual Xeon processors with 2MB L2 cache and hyper-threading technology, with Intel Exteneded Memory 64 Technology (EM64T) capability Intel® high performance E7520 Chipset - Utilising 800MHz front side bus, 2GB ECC DDR2 (400MHz) SDRAM memory (6 DIMM Sockets) using a dual channel architecture.
